ILA & USMX Set Ratification Date

Earlier today delegates of the International Longshoremen's Association and the United States Maritime Alliance agreed to a master contract and supplemental local agreements that will be in effect for six years.  The contracts are still awaiting final approval from the members of the ILA.

Shortly after announcing that the delegates of both parties had agreed to the contracts, the union announced that they will hold a rank-and-file ratification vote on April 9th.  Roughly 14,500 union members are eligible to participate in the vote.

The deals have been endorsed by ILA President Harold Daggett and are expected to pass with much difficulty.
